Training events

JAG holds a number of training days each year to support services in gaining accreditation. Training days are only open to members of staff working for a service registered with JAG.

How to prepare for your JAG accreditation day

This one day event will assist units in preparing their teams for the submission of evidence ahead of their JAG assessment in order to ensure the best possible outcome. During the training day, a team of JAG lead assessors will discuss the key areas that units find challenging, and explain how they can overcome these issues. Attendees will be lead through JAG's online checklist, which is the main tool for data submission, and assist units in preparing for their JAG assessment.

Who should attend this day?

  • Doctors, nurses and unit managers who are actively involved in the delivery of the clinical service and who will be preparing for the JAG site assessments
  • Individuals who currently do not work in a JAG accredited service

GRS training day

This one day event has been specifically designed to meet endoscopy services who are new to the GRS and want to know how to achieve the standards. This exciting workshop will equip delegates with the knowledge that they will need to update and improve their GRS. Delegates will leave the day better equipped to achieve sustainable GRS service improvements.

Who should attend this day?

  • Doctors, nurses and unit managers who have recently joined the JAG scheme and would like more information on the GRS standards and how to achieve a compliant GRS census
