Guts UK Charity,
in collaboration with the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) and Crohn’s
& Colitis UK (CCUK), and delivered with the support of the James Lind
Alliance (JLA), is leading an Endoscopy Priority Setting Partnership (PSP).
Funded by Guts UK, BSG and CCUK, this national project aims to identify the top
priorities for future endoscopy research. The PSP is now entering its final
phase and you are invited to take part in the final workshop!
For more
background on this initiative, visit: Priority Setting Partnerships (PSPs) – Guts UK
About the Workshop:
Date: Thursday 26 February 2026
Time: 9:30am – 3:30pm
Format: Online
To register email Helen West at research@gutscharity.org.uk.
The workshop will
bring together patients, carers and healthcare professionals who use or deliver
endoscopy services. Together, participants will review and discuss 19 research
questions generated through a national survey.
The aim is to
agree the Top 10 priority questions for endoscopy research, helping to shape
the future direction of the field. These priorities can also influence funding
decisions, for example, the National Institute for Health and Care Research
(NIHR) welcomes research applications that address priorities identified
through JLA PSPs.
Your participation will play a vital role in shaping the future
direction of endoscopy research, and we encourage you to get involved!
