Health Education England (HEE) continue to offer students and endoscopy services a flexible way to train healthcare professionals to perform safe endoscopic procedures for 2022. To support regional endoscopy recovery plans, HEE works with senior medical and clinical endoscopists, JAG Endoscopy, Liverpool John Moores University and Birmingham City University to deliver this comprehensive programme.

These fully funded 30- and 40-week blended learning programmes are run jointly with a trust. All academic elements are delivered online with minimal contact days away from trusts. HEE asks that trusts provide trainees with 20hrs of study time and a minimum of two dedicated endoscopy training lists each week. New applicants and those from clinical endoscopists with previous experience are welcome to apply. Read here for further information about the training programmes.
