In 2026, the JAG accreditation team is working to develop a
set of standards and an assessment pathway designed exclusively for insourcing
providers of endoscopy.
JAG invites all NHS endoscopy services to take part in the ‘NHS
Endoscopy Insourcing Providers Usage Survey’. This survey has been developed to
improve our understanding of how insourcing arrangements are being utilised
across the NHS and to support future planning, service improvement and
accreditation processes.
Insourcing continues to play a significant role in helping
services manage increasing demand and maintain timely access to endoscopy
procedures. To ensure that any future accreditation pathway for insourcing
reflects the realities experienced by services, it is essential that we gather
accurate and comprehensive information directly from providers.
We are therefore asking NHS endoscopy services, irrespective
of size or current use of insourcing models, to complete the survey. Your
contribution will help build a clearer national picture of current practice and
will inform ongoing work related to standards, accreditation pathways and
service development.
The survey can be accessed using the link below. It should
take only a short time to complete, and all responses will be treated in
confidence.
