NED Clinical Lead Recruitment 2024

Recruitment is now open for the NED clinical lead.

The Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (the JAG) wishes to appoint a NED clinical lead who will work in partnership with the NED chair and JAG programme manager (data and training) to improve the delivery of NED.

Collaboration: They will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement within the NED project and exploiting the potential applications of NED for driving improvements in patient outcomes. They will oversee improvements of NED, work with stakeholders to highlight benefits, and share ideas and opportunities for new developments.

External representation: They will represent NED in external meetings and act as a key point of contact on behalf of JAG for relevant stakeholders such as medical colleges, societies, professional and regulatory bodies and endoscopy reporting system suppliers.

Responsibility for the day-to-day management of JAG and its programmes including NED, lies with the JAG team based at the Royal College of Physicians.

The role will be offered on a 0.5 PA per week, 2 year fixed term contract in the first instance, with a further extension of 1 year, paying a maximum of £6,000 per year to the successful candidate's employer. It will be the duty of the candidate to obtain advance agreement from his/her employing authority that they will be given adequate time to perform the duties of this role.
