Recruitment open for Accreditation Programme Clinical Lead

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) invites persons interested to apply for the post of The Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (JAG) Accreditation Clinical Lead

The Care Quality Improvement Department supports the RCPs strategic aim to improve care for patients. It utilises a variety of methods and approaches to drive improvements in activities, influences the quality of clinical practice via ambitious work programmes that are delivered via constituent teams. JAG Accreditation aims to promote similar change and improvement in endoscopy services, whilst also providing assurance to patients, managers, referrers and commissioners about the service provided.

The JAG Accreditation Clinical Lead is appointed by the RCP to act on its behalf to lead on developments to the JAG Accreditation Programme. The successful candidate will ensure the success of the JAG accreditation programme by providing expert leadership, direction and strategy. They will be responsible for delivering the main aims of the JAG accreditation programme in accordance with the direction advised by the accreditation steering group. The post holder will provide high quality guidance and advice and is expected to be actively involved in endoscopy services. You will be able to promote the benefits of being accredited and represent JAG in external meetings.

The successful applicant does not need to be a current JAG assessor but would be expected to become a lead assessor and trainer within the programme.
