The HEE CE training programme is a 30 week programme designed to teach NMC Adult Nurses and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered healthcare professionals to perform safe diagnostic procedures in either upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy or flexible sigmoidoscopy. The programme is open to those working with NHS patients.

To support trusts to put applicants through the programme, HEE is providing an employer support package of £15,000 per NHS trainee for the April and October 2019 cohorts.

The training programme is now open to experienced clinical endoscopists who are now looking to train in either upper GI (OGD) or flexible sigmoidoscopy.
