Over the coming weeks, the JAG team will open consultation periods concerning the JAG standards update and the pGRS standards development.

JAG assesses services against a set of standards known as the global rating scale. We have one set of standards that are for UK services, and we have a set of standards for ROI services. We are currently in the process of reviewing these standards.

We are also in the process of developing a new set of standards specifically for paediatric services. These standards are known as the pGRS. Over the coming months, we will open separate consultation periods for the pGRS standards and the JAG standards for adult services.

We also have paediatric Quality and Safety Guidance available as well. 

The consultation period for the pGRS standards will open 11 December and close 23 January.

The second consultation period for the JAG UK (adult services) will open towards the end of January 2025. Consultation for the ROI standards will follow shortly after.

These are two separate consultation periods for these two sets of standards that are aimed at different types of services.
