Recruitment now open for BCSA panel chair

The Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (the JAG) wishes to appoint a chair for the Bowel Cancer Screener Accreditation (BCSA) panel. JAG invites application from persons interested in taking up this important role in leading and shaping the accreditation of Bowel Cancer Screening endoscopists.

The Chair of the BCSA Panel provides leadership and direction to the BCSA Panel. The Panel has responsibility for monitoring, developing and reviewing activities related to accreditation application and assessments. The Panel has a role in the related aspects of quality assurance and oversight of programme delivery.

The appointment will be for two years, renewable for a further year by agreement, and will be funded at 0.25 PA (or equivalent), reimbursable to the post-holder’s employer.

Interested parties are welcome to have an informal discussion ahead of application with Dr Richard Robinson ( who is demitting as Chair of the Panel or Joe Wilton ( who manages BCSA at the JAG office.

Applicants should submit the following to

             Letter of application outlining their suitability for the role

•             Short CV (focussed on endoscopy-related achievements and leadership experience)

Interviews for short-listed applicants will be held virtually on MS Teams, date TBC.

Closing date for applications is 12pm on Wednesday 14 June 2023.
