Become our new training centre and course lead

JAG Endoscopy has an exciting opportunity to become our new training centre and course lead, providing expert leadership to JAG on issues relating to JAG approved training centres, courses and faculty.

You’ll be committed to improving quality in endoscopy and be a collaborative leader with energy to further the impact and reputation of JAG training centres and courses.

Your main areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Leading and coordinating training centres and courses in context of COVID-19.
  • Supporting the review and update of the quality assurance process for training centres and courses, including revision of the courses learning objectives.
  • Embedding the training pathway for training course faculty.

About you

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Experience of JAG training centres and courses (applicants can either be active JAG training course faculty with experience of basic skills and train the trainer courses and/or have experience of a leadership position within a training centre)
  • An understanding of national policy and current issues in endoscopy and endoscopy training
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills.

About us

JAG is a programme from the Royal College of Physicians which empowers endoscopy services to improve care for their patients. JAG does this through three main workstreams:

  • Supporting service improvement through accreditation
  • Supporting development of the workforce by enabling the delivery of high-quality training
  • Enabling research into endoscopy practice through the National Endoscopy Database and our research projects.

To help us support endoscopist training, JAG quality assure training courses and centres to deliver the suit of JAG training centres. Further information on JAG training centres and courses is available via our website.

The training centre and course lead will primarily focus on training of endoscopists, however will provide input to other areas of JAG where appropriate.
